Long Distance

Many races do not allow routing and outside assistance in personal exclusive weather support. Often the crew is by her own. Support with excellent mid- and long range forecasts is necessary.

Our forecast models are looking 10 days in advance. We have different (European and American) long range forecast models. This difference of source code is important because only this helps to get a good understanding what is really going on after day 4 or 5.

Our support:

  • PRE-Routing
  • Detailed description of the wind pattern and forecast of windspeed and direction along the race course
  • Commentary of advantages and disadvantages of different options to go
  • Forecasts of wind / current due to inshore / offshore options
  • GRIB-Data support with a bundle of forecast model output of specified parameters to hand out the navigator for day 1 to 5 (respectively day 10).
